Privacy Policy — SVASPL Reporting

Last updated: 8 October 2026

SVASPL Reporting (Android package name org.techvein.reporting, also called "Reporting App" or "the app") is a workforce reporting tool provided by Techvein IT Solutions Pvt Ltd ("TECHVEIN", "we"), the developer of the app, to its client organisations. It is used only by employees of those organisations, on accounts created for them by their employer. It is not a consumer app and is not intended for children.

Who is responsible for your data

Your employer is the controller of the information collected through the app — they decide what is collected and why. TECHVEIN operates the software and servers on the employer's behalf. If you are an employee and want your data corrected or removed, contact your employer's administrator first.

What the app collects

DataWhy it is collected
Precise location (GPS), including while the app is open and, where enabled, in the background To record where field work was carried out, to attach a verified location to work reports, to show the employer the work route for the day, and to alert when an employee is outside their assigned work area. Location is only collected while the employee is signed in.
Background location: SVASPL Reporting collects location in the background, including when the app is closed or not in use, to record the employee's work route during working hours. Background location requires the employee's permission on the phone and can be withdrawn at any time in Settings.
Photos and videos taken in the app (odometer readings, shop photos, bills, order and payment proof, selfies) These are the work records themselves. The camera is used only when the employee presses a capture button. The app never accesses the phone's photo gallery.
Account details — name, mobile number used as the login, employee profile photo To identify the employee inside their employer's account.
Messages sent in the app's chat Work communication between employees, managers and administrators.
Device information — device identifier, battery level, network type, app version, device clock and time zone To keep an account tied to one approved phone, to show the employer whether a device is reachable, and to detect a tampered device clock or a fake-GPS application.

How the data is used

Collected data is used solely to operate the workforce reporting service for the employer: recording work, calculating attendance, travel allowance and expenses, and providing reports to the employer's administrators. Some reports are summarised by an automated analysis feature for the employer's own review.

What we never do

Sharing

Data is visible to authorised administrators and managers within the employee's own organisation. It is stored on servers operated for TECHVEIN and is not shared with third parties, except where required by law. Map tiles and geocoding may be requested from the map provider in order to display a location.

Retention

Work records are kept for as long as the employer's account is active, because they form the employer's business records (attendance, allowances, expenses). Location trail points are kept for route playback and reporting. An employer may ask TECHVEIN to delete their organisation's data, after which it is removed from production systems within 30 days.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Access is restricted to the employee themselves and their organisation's authorised administrators.

Your choices

Location and camera permissions can be withdrawn at any time in the phone's Settings. Note that the app requires location to record work — with location switched off, work reporting features will not function, because a work record without a verified location has no value to the employer.

Children

The app is for employed adults only and is not directed at anyone under 18.
